China sighed, rubbing his temples. It was that dreaded hour of the night.
It was time for him to put his adorable little siblings to bad. Only, they didn't want to go to bed, and were now giving their poor, hardworking older brother one hell of a time.
Currently, South Korea was running around the house, screaming something in Korean the entire time he ran. Taiwan was jumping around on her bed, refusing to lie down and sleep. Japan sat in the corner, staring at his insane siblings, with Hong Kong right next to him, scribbling some sort of drawing down. While they were not making as much noise as their brother and sister, they still refused to go to bed. Every time China attempted to pick them up and carry them to bed, they'd scurry out of the room when his back was turned and he'd find them back in the same corner.
Suddenly, when Yong Soo suddenly jumped up onto the table, Yao snapped.
In the blink of an eye, he had snatched the hyper boy and tucked him up under his arm, making sure that his mouth was as far from his arm and hand as possible, thus illiminating the possibility of Yong Soo biting his arm and/or hand to make him let go.
Walking to the room that Yong Soo shared with Japan, he set him in the bed and said, sternly, that if he dared move from that spot, he wouldn't be allowed to leave that room again for the next week, except to eat and use the restroom. This left Yong Soo sitting there, silent and frozen in fear, with his brown eyes the size of dinner plates.
After this, Yao marched into Taiwan's room, which she shared with Hong Kong. When he stood in the door way, she froze. They both stood there for a moment, as if staring one another down, and then she jumped off the bed and bolted, screaming at the top of her lungs. This led to a small chase around the house...the outcome was the same as Korea's. She was planted on her bed, and told that if she did anything besides sleep, she would have a very unpleasant week and would be joining her brother in being locked in their rooms.
Sighing, he took out the ponytail to redo it, seeing as it had almost completely fallen out while he was chasing Taiwan around the house.
Then, his eyes fell on the two silent, almost emotionless, little nations in the corner, and his eyes narrowed. They were crafty little ones...It was always the quiet ones you have to look out for, he thought.
Walking over, he crossed his arms and stared down at them, debating multiple strategies of getting them to bed. But, it appeared these efforts were not required, because Japan suddenly yawned, his eyes beginning to close. Hong Kong seemed to be leaning over toward Japan, about to fall asleep on his shoulder, when Japan shuffled away, allowing his brother to fall to the floor, asleep.
China let out a sigh of relief and picked them both up, taking them to their rooms and laying them in their beds. While he was doing this, he noticed that Korea and Taiwan were now, finally, asleep.
He felt a huge weight lift from his shoulders and couldn't help but let a smile hit his lips, both in triumph and relief.
...this weight quickly returned when he walked out to the living room and saw what chaos the young countries had left in their wake.
"...It can be done tomorrow, aru." he mumbled, suddenly feeling tired himself.
Trudging off to his room, he collapsed onto his bed, facefirst, dreading the moment he woke up, knowing that he would have to do it all over again the next afternoon for their naps.
